MHN/Music: Bob Webb / Bank Trollers

This week's featured MHN/Music CD is Bank Trollers, by Bob Webb. For nearly four decades, the resident of Phippsburg, Maine has presented the music of seafarers, loggers, railroad men and other folk heroes and heroines. His specialties are shipboard work songs, known as "shanties," and the seagoing ballads called "forebitters" or "main-hatch songs." Buy his album from CD Baby. Listen to a sample from the album. A portion of the sale proceed supports Maritime Heritage Network.
