Roots and Routes Website

Here's a website with a different twist on the heritage travel theme. The "Roots and Routes" site, http://www.rootsandroutes.net, is a not-for-profit site begun in 1996 with a grant from Connecticut government agency. First focused on Connecticut, the site has gradually expanded to include all the United States. The site owners want to "use the cultural connections, great migrations, settlements and symbolic landscapes of North America" to make the avocations of geneaology and heritage travel more meaningful. The site includes some information about maritime history, including an article about a lighthouse in Ohio.
